About our consultant: Michelle Salyers has been involved with German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) Rescue for the past 11 years. She is the founder of GSP Rescue New England and the Midwest Chapter of Mid-Atlantic GSP Rescue. Michelle lives in Ironton, OH and is a proud foster mom for GSP Rescue and a foster mom to special needs horses for Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue.
Michelle became involved with thirty-one products solely as a means to raise rescue funds. She facilitates 2-3 fundraisers per month, donating her full commission to each organization. Any proceeds from non-fundraiser sales go into Michelle’s personal rescue fund. She routinely assists “non-GSPs” from her local shelters. Having a separate rescue fund enables her to provide donations for medical treatment, spay/neuter, vaccines, pay adoption fees, and assist with special needs dogs in her community. If you make a purchase via a fundraiser, and “come back” to Michelle to make a future purchase, she will donate 5% of your purchase to Puggles & Pitties Rescue. The remaining proceeds will go into the fund to help needy animals in Michelle’s local community, and, the “mutts & mixes” (and special needs horses) she fosters each year.
Michelle “met” Puggles & Pitties founder, Kelly Gibson, in the days BF (“before Facebook”) as Kelly assisted Michelle with transports for needy GSPs. Kelly helped Michelle move GSPs from shelters to fosters/rescues in all parts of the United States.

Pit Bulls 101 – Free Info Session!!
September 1, 2011
If you’ve read The Lost Dogs (as we recommended), you may be familiar with the name Marthina McClay, founder of the San Francisco-based rescue group Our Pack, who rescued and rehabilitated Leo. Our Pack is not “just” a rescue; they are also heavily involved in educating the public about this much-maligned breed.
We are THRILLED to announce that Puggles & Pitties is partnering with Our Pack and Whole Dog Training to bring you Pit Bulls 101, a free information session about pitties! This is an excellent opportunity for people curious about the breed or new pittie parents to learn more about these amazing dogs, dispel some myths and quash the rumors about these “vicious” beings.
This 1-hr class is FREE. Bring yourself, your friends, your significant other, and let’s talk pittie!
MONDAY, OCT 10th
7 PM
10035 Carroll Canyon Rd, Ste D (as in Dog)
San Diego, CA 92131
Please RSVP to Renee @ luckydogLT@gmail.com. Seating is limited to 35 people. This session is for humans only, please leave your pooches home.
We look forward to seeing you there!!
Bully Sticks for Karma!!
November 2, 2010
Hi Karma Fans!
I’ve discovered who our very generous but somewhat anonymous donor is and learned that they are holding a fundraising event for Karma this week!
November 2 – 6 only, Walkin’ the Bark, an online resource for Bully Sticks of all sizes as well as other sticky chew treats, is donating all profits from treat sales to Puggles & Pitties in order to help cover the rest of Karma’s medical expenses!
Now’s the time to stock up for your furkids!! You know they love the bully sticks – I bet they’d love the green tripe chews too!
Thank you all for your support and your help with Karma!! And a HUGE thank you to Judy for making any of this possible!!
